talk about saving the best until last. if you thought that the first two parts of awanto 3s opel mantra trilogy were good, just wait until you hear part 3. it delivers a brilliantly breathless conclusion to what could well be one of the strongest debut albums of 2014. by now, you should know the script. amsterdam producer steven van hulle has previously shown glimpses of his musical talents, either with sporadic solo productions (see his superb 2010 debut on rush hour, for five), or alongside friends from the dutch scene (san proper, young marco and tom trago, in particular). opel mantra, a debut album split across three 12 inch singles (a cd version will follow later in the year), is his big reveal – our first chance to wallow in his unique and thrilling fusions of deep house, detroit techno and a multitude of vivid global influences.

jonas kopp is the man in charge of our labels new and latest release. the argentinean dj and producer is one of the most prolific in the scene: he records for the best labels, never stops remixing and has gigs almost everywhere. and of course, he also runs his own imprint, traut muzik.

raw waxes meets unperson for its second release: 2 vinyls, 4 techno tracks per vinyl, including remixes by perc, samuli kemppi, stanislav tolkachev and tomohiko sagae.

deep space orchestras use of weapons label has always been a reliable source of analogue-heavy left of centre deep house, with each split ep, featuring tracks from a variety of like-minded producers, featuring a range of must-have nuggets. this expansive sixth release, with eight tracks spread across two slabs of wax, is no different. dso s beautiful and surprisingly fragile -mendoza- leads the way, with 7 citizens calming, alien house groover -fatum- close behind. arguably best of all, though, is other worlds -coldname eld-, a sparse and bassy concoction blessed with some brilliant, head high style pianos. it is, though, all good, with further impressive contributions from the detroit-included haku.

in june 2013, above & beyond performed some of their best-loved songs acoustically with a 12-piece band, across three sold out shows at londons legendary porchester hall. the response from fans was overwhelming and led to two sold-out nights at the greek theater in los angeles in october, described by billboard magazine as one of the finest and more memorable shows in dance music history.

top quality remastered reissue of oses very rare and sought after old school vocoder electro jam *computer funk*, a stone cold classic with an awesome phat analogue bassline and some of the best vocoder vocals ever recorded. originally released back in 83 on the tiny florida label bound sound and produced by the great james mccauley, this is miami electro at its finest and it is easy to see why it has become such a holy grail with djs and collectors. must have.
